  • Ayo Ibukun has a robust multidisciplinary background as a former Principal Engineer in the Oil & Gas sector, leveraging over eight years of hands-on experience in diverse engineering, computing, and project management roles. As a PhD candidate in Learning, Design & Technology, he now focuses his expertise on pioneering research in immersive technologies and connected learning spaces.
  • His academic pursuits traverse various frontiers, from the design and implementation of educational augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) applications to catalyzing AR technology integration into public library spaces. Ayo’s research portfolio boldly ventures into collaborative community science education, performance enhancement technology, Artificial Intelligence applications in education, and the application of statistical analyses and big data analytics in educational studies. 
  • Ayo advocates hands-on approaches to enhancing learning using the ubiquitousness of mobile technology to address the digital divide in both formal and informal learning spaces. He has facilitated several workshops both in-person and virtual, teaching best-fit approaches to integrating immersive technologies into academia portfolios.
